Privacy policy

This site is a set of static pages with calculators that run in your browser. That shapes everything below: the figures you enter into the baby cost calculator, the budget planner or the registry checklist stay on your device and are never sent to us, because there is no server here to send them to. What we do collect is limited to audience measurement, loaded when a page opens with no consent banner, and this page says exactly what that means, who processes it and how to stop it.

Who is responsible

The controller for the data described here is Radif Partners, publisher of BumpWeek, reachable at contact@bumpweek.com. Full publisher details are on the legal notice.

What the calculators do with your figures

Nothing leaves your browser. Salary, due date, insurance deductible, nursery quote: all of it is processed by JavaScript running on your own device. Where a tool remembers your entries between visits, it uses your browser's local storage, which is readable only by this site on your own machine and which you can clear at any time through your browser settings. We have no copy and no way to obtain one.

Audience measurement

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are read, so that we know which guides are worth keeping current. Clarity records clicks, scrolling, pages viewed and their address, the referring page, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from the IP address, replayed as anonymous sessions and heatmaps. What you type into a calculator field is masked in your browser and is not sent. Clarity loads when a page opens: the site shows no consent banner. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object by blocking third-party cookies or the domain clarity.ms in your browser. No advertising profile is built and no data is sold.

Cookies

The calculators set no cookies. Microsoft Clarity sets the cookies _clck (one year) and _clsk (one day), and Microsoft may set MUID and CLID on its own domains. To refuse them, block third-party cookies or the domain clarity.ms in your browser, and clear site data to remove cookies already set. Every page and every calculator works without them.

Retention

Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days and aggregated statistics for up to 13 months. We keep no file of our own in which an individual reader could be identified.

Third parties

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives a request from your browser containing your IP address in order to serve the font file. For audience measurement, Microsoft (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited and Microsoft Corporation) receives the data described above and may process it in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses; see its privacy statement. Some pages link to external sites; once you follow such a link, that site's own policy applies and ours does not.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to, correction of, erasure of or restriction on any personal data we hold, and you may object to audience measurement. In practice we hold no file in which you could be identified, so the usual answer to an access request is that there is nothing to disclose; we will say so in writing if you ask. Requests go to contact@bumpweek.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
