Baby cost widget
The baby cost calculator can be embedded on any website, blog or intranet page with a single line of HTML. It is free, it carries no advertising, it sets no cookie on your visitors, and it resizes to the width of whatever column you put it in. Parenting sites, midwifery practices, employers publishing a parental leave handbook and financial advisers all use it for the same reason: it answers the first question an expecting parent asks, without sending anyone away from the page they are on.
The embed code
<iframe src="https://bumpweek.com/embed/"
width="100%" height="720"
style="border:0;max-width:680px"
title="Baby cost calculator by BumpWeek"
loading="lazy"></iframe>
Paste it into your page's HTML where you want the calculator to appear. In WordPress, use a Custom HTML block; in Ghost, an HTML card; in Notion or Squarespace, an embed block pointing at https://bumpweek.com/embed/.
Options
- Height. 720 pixels fits the calculator without an inner scrollbar on desktop. On narrow mobile layouts, 900 is safer.
- Width. Leave it at 100 % and cap it with
max-width; the layout is responsive down to 320 pixels. - Lazy loading. Keep
loading="lazy"so the widget costs your page nothing until it scrolls into view.
Terms
Use of the widget is free for any site, commercial or not, provided the attribution link inside it is left visible. Do not modify the frame's content, and do not present the calculator as your own work. We may change the calculation when an official figure changes; embedded copies update automatically, which is the point of embedding rather than copying.
Privacy for your visitors
The embedded calculator runs entirely in the visitor's browser. Nothing they type is transmitted, no cookie is set by the frame, and no identifier is shared with the host page. You can embed it without adding a line to your own cookie notice.
